Job Description

Start your career in office administration with Law Partners

Looking for your first step into a professional office environment? Join Law Partners, Australia’s largest specialist personal injury law firm, and build your career in a supportive, fast-paced and people-focused workplace.

We’re looking for a motivated Office Assistant to support the smooth day-to-day running of our brand new state of the art Sydney CBD office. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone who is organised, hands-on and keen to develop their administration skills.

You don't need previous legal experience — we’ll provide the training and support you need to succeed.

Working closely with the Office Manager and wider office services team, your day will include:

  • Supporting general office administration, including scanning, filing, data entry and record keeping
  • Scanning incoming mail and managing radiology requests, including USBs and CDs
  • Preparing client packs and ensuring meeting rooms, kitchens and breakout areas are clean, stocked and presentable
  • Monitoring stationery, kitchen and printer supplies and arranging replenishment when required
  • Setting up and packing down meeting rooms, mediations, training sessions and internal events
  • Assisting with catering and supporting in-house events, including Friday night drinks, monthly lunches and training events
  • Managing meeting room bookings and ensuring rooms are ready between appointments
  • Processing outgoing mail, including printing, franking and arranging deliveries
  • Assisting with briefs and, when required, attending court for document retrieval or delivery
  • Providing reception relief when required
  • Supporting the Office Coordinator and wider team with administrative and operational tasks

What we're looking for

This role is ideal for someone at the beginning of their career who is eager to learn and enjoys being part of a busy team.

You’ll bring:

  • Completion of Year 12 (HSC or equivalent)
  • Some experience in an office, administration, hospitality or customer service environment is desirable, but not essential
  • A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to get involved
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • A proactive, hands-on approach — no two days will be exactly the same
  • Professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information

A Certificate III in Business Administration or current study towards a business or administration qualification would be advantageous but isn't essential.

More than just a job — build your career

This is an entry-level role with genuine career progression. As you develop your skills and experience, there are opportunities to progress within Law Partners into roles such as:

Office Coordinator | Legal Assistant | Paralegal | and more

We’re committed to developing our people and supporting internal career progression across the firm.

Why Law Partners?

At Law Partners, we believe great people are at the heart of what we do. As a growing, award-winning specialist personal injury firm, you'll join a workplace where your contribution is valued and there are real opportunities to develop your career.

You’ll enjoy:

  • Birthday day off – celebrate your birthday with a paid day off
  • 2 wellbeing days per year
  • Paid parental leave
  • Novated leasing
  • Brand-new Sydney CBD offices conveniently located near Town Hall Station & Metro
  • Our own café with baristas
  • Regular social events including our Christmas party, Melbourne Cup celebrations, Family Day and Thursday night drinks
  • Genuine opportunities for career development and internal progression
  • A supportive, collaborative and people-focused culture
