Essential Responsibilities:

  • Inspects guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness, condition, presentation, and readiness meet OHM, brand, and property standards.
  • Documents inspection findings and communicates deficiencies to Housekeeping team members and leadership for timely correction.
  • Provides guidance, training, and direction to Housekeeping team members regarding cleaning procedures, quality standards, and efficient work practices.
  • Assigns and prioritizes housekeeping tasks as directed by Housekeeping leadership based on occupancy, room status, and business needs.
  • Communicates room status, maintenance concerns, guest requests, and other operational needs with Front Office, Engineering, and other hotel departments.
  • Identifies stains, damage, wear, or maintenance concerns involving carpets, drapes, furniture, fixtures, and other guest room or public area furnishings and coordinates appropriate follow-up.
  • Monitors linen, cleaning supplies, equipment, and other Housekeeping resources to support proper inventory control and minimize waste.
  • Assists with maintaining accurate room status and occupancy information and communicates updates to the appropriate departments.
  • Ensures Housekeeping equipment is properly used, maintained, stored, and secured.
  • Follows established procedures for the handling, documentation, security, and return of lost and found items.
  • Maintains compliance with key control procedures and all applicable security requirements.
  • Follows SDS, chemical handling, OSHA, sanitation, and other applicable safety requirements and procedures.
  • Responds to housekeeping-related guest concerns promptly and professionally and takes appropriate action or escalates concerns to leadership.
  • Proactively greets guests in a warm and friendly manner and demonstrates OHM's commitment to world-class guest service and applicable guest service standards.
  • Performs guest room cleaning, public area cleaning, and other hands-on Housekeeping duties as needed to support business and guest service needs.
  • Reports to work as scheduled, on time, and in appropriate uniform in accordance with company policy.
  • Maintains knowledge of and complies with all OHM, brand, property, and departmental policies, procedures, and standards.

  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Education & Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous housekeeping or hotel experience required; prior housekeeping inspection or leadership experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of hotel housekeeping procedures, cleaning standards, sanitation practices, and guest service expectations preferred.
  • Ability to learn and apply OHM, brand, safety, and operational standards.

Hours:

  • Due to the nature of hotel operations, schedules may vary and may include mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and other hours based on business need

Physical Requirements of the Position:

  • Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Requires walking or standing to a significant degree.

Physical Activity of the Position:

  • Requires frequent standing and walking throughout the hotel and may require lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling items weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally, 30 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds continuously.
  • Requires the ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, climb stairs, and perform repetitive movements as needed to inspect and perform housekeeping duties.
  • Regularly engages in standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, grasping, fine finger movements, and repetitive motions.
  • Requires the ability to communicate verbally and hear effectively in person and by telephone/radio.
  • Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, picking/pinching with fingers, typing, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, repetitive motion.

Visual Acuity Requirements:

  • Requires sufficient visual acuity to inspect guest rooms, public areas, furnishings, equipment, and cleaning results for cleanliness, condition, accuracy, and adherence to established standards.

Environmental Conditions:

Inside: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. A job is considered “inside” if the worker spends approximately 75 percent or more of the time inside.
