Overview:
The Career Services work study will provide administrative support to the Career Services office. Specific responsibilities may include answering phones, greeting students, managing appointments, assisting with career workshops, and updating online resources. They will also participate in campus events and social media outreach to promote Career Services.
The part-time work study position is up to 10 hours per week and reports to the Director of Career Services.
Specific duties may include:
Administrative Support
- Greeting and directing students and visitors.
- Answering phones and emails.
- Filing, scanning, and copying documents.
- Maintaining office records and databases.
- Assisting with event planning and preparation.
- Providing information about career resources and opportunities.
- Referral to relevant resources.
- Assisting with workshops.
- Maintaining and updating career services resources.
- Participating in campus events to promote career services.
- Developing and maintaining social media presence for career services.
- Assisting with employer outreach and networking.
- Collaborating with other campus departments.
- Duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
This position is a part of the Federal work-study program, to qualify you must be a State Fair Community College student enrolled in the current semester and eligible for Financial Aid thorough the Federal Work-study program.
We're looking for someone who is friendly, professional, and ready to jump in wherever needed. You should be creative and flexible, with strong communication skills and a sharp eye for detail. Proficiency in computer programs like Microsoft Office Suite and Canva is a must, and you should feel confident managing multiple tasks while meeting deadlines. Employment will require a criminal background check at College expense.
