This is an opportunity to join a specialized engine team building high-quality real-time experiences across a broad range of devices and performance levels.
You will work at the intersection of graphics engineering, game engine development, and performance optimization.
The role focuses on building sophisticated C++ systems, rendering technologies, graphics pipelines, and core engine capabilities.
You’ll collaborate closely with gameplay engineers, artists, and designers to translate technical capabilities into exceptional player experiences.
A major focus will be optimizing GPU and CPU performance, particularly for mobile platforms and demanding real-time workloads.
You’ll also contribute to engineering excellence through mentoring, documentation, and adoption of modern graphics and platform technologies.
This remote role is suited to an experienced graphics engineer who enjoys solving challenging low-level problems and pushing real-time rendering forward.

Accountabilities
  • Develop high-performance C++ systems for a proprietary game engine, with a strong focus on real-time rendering, scalability, and performance.
  • Design, implement, and maintain rendering features, core engine components, developer tools, and graphics pipelines.
  • Optimize GPU and CPU performance across a diverse range of hardware and performance tiers, with particular emphasis on mobile devices.
  • Profile and debug graphics workloads to identify performance bottlenecks and implement effective optimizations.
  • Build clean, maintainable, well-documented engine code with appropriate technical documentation and code-level comments.
  • Collaborate with gameplay engineers, artists, designers, and other technical teams to deliver high-quality graphics and player experiences.
  • Contribute to the evolution of rendering technologies and engine architecture across supported platforms.
  • Mentor other engineers, share graphics programming best practices, and contribute to the continued growth of the engineering team.
  • Stay informed about emerging graphics technologies, APIs, hardware capabilities, and platform-specific trends.
  • Explore advanced graphics techniques and technologies that can improve visual quality, performance, and scalability.
Requirements
  • At least 6 years of professional experience in the game industry, with demonstrated experience shipping large-scale 3D games across multiple platforms.
  • Expert-level C++ development skills, including strong knowledge of performance optimization, multithreading, and low-level engine systems.
  • Deep understanding of modern real-time rendering pipelines and graphics programming concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with modern graphics APIs such as Vulkan and Metal.
  • Proven experience working with game engines and art/content production pipelines.
  • Strong proficiency with GPU profiling, debugging, and performance analysis tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose complex rendering and performance issues across different hardware configurations.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals, including clean architecture, maintainable code, documentation, and debugging practices.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and cross-functional partners such as artists and designers.
  • Strong communication and mentoring skills, with the ability to share technical knowledge and raise engineering standards.
  • Passion for pushing the boundaries of Android graphics and real-time rendering, particularly with Vulkan, is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with SIMD instruction sets is a plus.
  • Experience creating or experimenting with shader-based graphics, including work that can be demonstrated through platforms such as Shadertoy, is a plus.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; employment visa sponsorship or transfer is not currently available.
Benefits
  • Salary: $150,000–$220,000 USD annually, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.
