Job Description
What you’ll do:
- Operation and maintenance of a water distribution system, a water treatment plant and a biological wastewater treatment plant
- Reading meters and gauges
- Collecting field readings and samples of water and wastewater
- Monitoring and observing operating conditions and adjusting process controls as necessary
- Troubleshooting of plant equipment and performing minor maintenance as necessary
- Collecting samples and performing routine lab tests
- Maintaining compliance with all regulatory and safety requirements
- General housekeeping at facilities
- Maintaining accurate records of operations and maintenance activities
- Compiling monthly data for compliance reporting
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required
- 4 years of wastewater operation experience
- A South Carolina Class D Water Treatment Operator license required
- A South Carolina Class C Biological Wastewater Treatment Operator license required
- A South Carolina System Operator License
- Familiarity with computers in a Windows based environment
- Must be able to work outdoors in all climates, climb ladders and lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver's license
Pay Range: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour depending on experience
