Data Governance Analyst | Mid

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Data Governance Analyst | Mid based in Brazil.

This role is a key contributor to the development and maturation of enterprise data governance practices within complex, data-driven environments. You will work closely with data, analytics, and business teams to ensure that organizational data assets are well-documented, high-quality, and properly governed throughout their lifecycle. The position plays an important role in strengthening data trust, traceability, and usability across multiple domains and platforms. You will support initiatives spanning metadata management, data quality, lineage, and master data concepts, helping translate governance frameworks into practical execution. In addition, you will collaborate on data modeling and requirements analysis to ensure consistency and alignment with business needs. The environment is collaborative and highly technical, with strong exposure to modern data tools and large-scale enterprise ecosystems.

Accountabilities:
  • Collaborate with client data teams to support and enhance data governance initiatives across multiple domains.
  • Contribute to the evolution of data quality, cataloging, metadata management, and data organization practices.
  • Support the management and enrichment of technical and business metadata to improve data discoverability and usability.
  • Participate in the definition, standardization, and improvement of data governance processes, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Contribute to initiatives related to data quality, master data management (MDM), and data lineage tracking.
  • Support conceptual, logical, physical, and dimensional data modeling activities, including Star and Snowflake schemas.
  • Assist in the documentation, cataloging, and classification of enterprise data assets.
  • Engage with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and support governance-related discussions.
  • Promote data traceability, consistency, and trustworthiness across enterprise data ecosystems.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related fields, or postgraduate qualification with at least 360 hours in IT.
  • 4+ years of experience in Information Technology, preferably in data-related roles.
  • Strong knowledge of data governance principles and DAMA-DMBOK framework.
  • Hands-on experience with data governance and cataloging tools such as Informatica AXON, Informatica EDC, IDQ/EDQ, Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Fabric, SAP PowerDesigner, and Databricks.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling techniques, including conceptual, logical, physical, and dimensional modeling.
  • Experience with Star Schema and Snowflake Schema design approaches.
  • Experience managing metadata (technical and business) and supporting data lineage and quality processes.
  • Strong skills in requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation in agile environments.
  • Experience working in data quality, data cataloging, and enterprise data governance initiatives.
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and ability to work in complex, data-rich environments.
  • Preferred: experience with data maturity programs, Master Data Management (MDM), or large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Certifications in data governance, DAMA, or Informatica are a plus.
