QA Tech 3rd Shift in Omaha, Nebraska at LALA Branded Products LLC

Under regular supervision, performs required tests, and quality control inspections of raw materials, in process batches and finished goods. Accurate records, communicates and files results.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs quality control inspections on production samples. Performs chemical and microbiological analysis on raw materials and final products to verify adherence to stated specifications. Use keen observation skills and good judgment to catch and prevent production errors. Approves the release of products and materials.
• Maintains various production, raw material, testing, or problem logs. Stores production and raw material samples.
• In consultation with supervision, takes proper steps to troubleshoot testing problems.
• Maintains lab equipment and keeps work area clean.
• Performs all operations according to all established Safety Policies, Good Lab Practices, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Shall be responsible for reporting and taking any necessary action to prevent food safety and food quality problems from occurring.
• Communicates effectively, efficiently and in a timely manner with supervision and all internal departments.
• Performs sanitation inspections on equipment and facility to maintain a sanitary and food safe environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Any food safety or quality incidents must be reported to plant leadership.

WORK EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE:

• One-year experience in a QA or laboratory setting.
• Experience in SAP preferred.
• Ability to use various laboratory equipment.

SKILLS / OTHER PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

• This position requires regular and prompt attendance during the working hours scheduled by the Department Manager.
• Must be able to use Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Pays attention to detail.

EDUCATION:

• Minimum Education Required: 4 Year degree in a science related field or 1 year minimum of equivalent experience in a QA or laboratory setting.

• Constantly standing, walking, head/neck movements, reach outward and reach above shoulder.
• Frequently bending at the waist.
• Occasionally sit, twist/turn, kneel, squat, climb/heights, drive/operate equipment and crawl.
• Occasionally bending at waist, twist and turn, squat, crawl, head/neck movements
• Constantly lift, carry, push and pull up to 10 pounds.
• Frequently lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds, grip, type/keyboard and repetitive hand use.
