Job Description
Job Summary:
Performs all duties of the mail distribution center, including processing and delivery of incoming and outgoing mail/packages. Assists with maintaining worksheets related to stores and dry-goods orders.
Work Schedule: This is a temporary position on 1st shift. Plan on working Monday - Friday, from 7:30am - 3:30pm with some weekends in December.Subject to change based on business needs.
Major Job Responsibilities/Job Duties:
- Assists with reviewing, adjusting, approving and entering of Stores orders and Dry Goods orders.
- Processes incoming mail and packages. Delivers to appropriate departments or individuals.
- Using a PC assists with maintaining all MDC and Stores Inventory spreadsheets.
- Operates all mailroom machinery to process outgoing mail and packages.
- Accurately prepares and processes mailings for internal customers.
- Serves as a backup for the Copy Center operations.
- Supports the courier position as needed by operating company vehicles to pick up and deliver items throughout Omaha.
- Works with forward distribution vendors on delivery of products into retail stores. Resolves issues as they occur.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Meets expectations for attendance and punctuality
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid drivers license with a good driving record
- Familiarity with the Omaha Metro area with prior courier experience preferred
- Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle
- Previous experience with Excel and other Microsoft Applications is preferred
- Ability to prioritize workloads and organize daily functions.
- Must maintain professional and courteous working relationships with all employees and outside contacts..
