The college offers associate of arts, associate of fine arts, associate of science and associate of applied science degrees, professional and skills certificates, and noncredit courses and programs, and workforce development training in a 14-county area in central Missouri with locations in Sedalia, Boonville, Clinton, Jefferson City, Lake of the Ozarks, Warsaw, at Whiteman Air Force Base, and online.
Position Summary: The work study student in the Digital Media Lab will provide support to students using video production equipment and Adobe software while helping maintain an organized, clean, and functional lab environment. The student will receive training on the varying equipment housed in the lab.
Essential Duties:
- Check out video production equipment to students
- Assist students in troubleshooting minor software and equipment issues
- Provide basic assistance with Adobe software, including importing and exporting files, relinking media, toggling layers, and using other important tools within the software
- Help maintain the quality and performance of lab computers by deleting old or unused applications and files as directed
- Keep the Digital Media Lab clean and tidy, including wiping desktops and computer screens
- Help keep equipment in working order by charging batteries and documenting defective equipment
- Maintain organized equipment and lab work areas

Required Qualifications:
- Ability to recognize common video production equipment, including DSLR cameras, camcorders, camera batteries, lenses, shotgun and lavalier microphones, and XLR cables
- Ability to troubleshoot minor issues in Adobe software, including importing and exporting, relinking media, toggling layers, and other basic software functions
- Willingness and ability to learn the varying equipment housed in the Digital Media Lab
- Dependable, organized, and able to maintain a clean and orderly work environment
- Must be eligible for Federal Work Study
This position is a part of the Federal work-study program, to qualify you must be a State Fair Community College student enrolled in the current semester and eligible for Financial Aid thorough the Federal Work-study program.
Employment will require a criminal background check at College expense. Preference is given to Missouri residents.
