Position Overview
GPT Renewables is hiring experienced Skid Steer Operators for a large-scale solar remediation project in Paris, Texas.

The Skid Steer Operator will support field crews with material movement, cleanup, equipment handling, and other activities associated with repairing and replacing damaged components throughout the solar site. This position requires an experienced operator who can work safely and efficiently around personnel, solar equipment, and active construction operations.

Pay Rate: $29.00/hour
Per Diem: $150/day worked for eligible travelers
Start Date: October 5
Schedule: 50-60 hours per week
Duration: 8 Weeks

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a skid steer in an active solar construction environment.

• Load, unload, move, and stage solar modules, materials, debris, and project supplies.

• Support removal and replacement activities throughout the solar field.

• Transport materials and equipment to designated work areas.

• Assist with site cleanup and removal of damaged materials.

• Perform daily pre-operation equipment inspections.

• Identify and report equipment defects, unsafe conditions, or maintenance concerns.

• Maintain awareness of surrounding crews, equipment, and site hazards while operating.

• Follow designated travel paths, spotter instructions, and site-specific equipment procedures.

• Assist field crews with general project activities when equipment operation is not required.

• Follow all GPT Renewables and project safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating a skid steer in solar construction environment.

• Ability to safely maneuver equipment around workers, materials, and active work areas.

• Experience with material handling, loading, unloading, and staging.

• Skid steer/operator certification may be required based on final project requirements.

• Spanish/bilingual capabilities are preferred but not required.

• Must have reliable transportation.

• Must be able to pass a 10-panel rapid drug screen.
