About the Role:
CrowdStrike is seeking a detail-oriented Manager of Data Center Capacity Management to build and lead a team responsible for optimizing power, space, and infrastructure capacity across our global data center footprint. Reporting into a Senior Manager of Data Center Operations, this role owns our capacity function, with a focus on power utilization optimization, auditing, and capacity planning. This individual will lead and grow a small team of engineers as our footprint and business needs expand. This role drives excellence across four core areas:
PLEASE NOTE: This role is hybrid, requiring 2-3 days per week on-site at one of the posted locations.
What You’ll Do:
U.S. citizenship or Green Card/permanent resident status
Data Center Capacity Management — Own and lead comprehensive capacity planning across power, cooling, space and availability. Assess and forecast required capacity at the rack, row, and room levels, with a particular focus on optimizing power utilization to maximize efficiency and value from our existing footprint. Leverage DCIM software and tooling to drive accurate capacity planning and inventory management.
Standards and Reporting — Define, implement, and iterate upon infrastructure capacity requirements and reporting benchmarks, ensuring high-velocity execution and data integrity across all forecasting workflows.
Data Center Physical Audits — Take direct ownership of regular physical audit execution and readiness, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our asset and capacity data in support of SOC 2 and SOX compliance requirements.
Project Management & Lifecycle Support — Provide support to project management, including tracking, creating, and enforcing SLAs, while overseeing equipment end-of-life (EOL) planning and decommissioning.
Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency and drive business outcomes.
What You’ll Need:
7+ years of experience working in critical environments, with direct exposure to data center capacity and power management.
Demonstrated experience optimizing power utilization and capacity within a data center or similarly critical infrastructure environment.
Experience working in a cutting-edge, technical, hands-on environment, leveraging technology to manage and grow environments.
Experience in personnel management, people development, and building/growing a team.
Experience influencing and leading a group of people, partners, and suppliers across multiple disciplines.
Strong knowledge of data center power, cooling, network, structured cabling, server, and storage infrastructure.
Hands-on experience with DCIM software for capacity planning and inventory management.
Demonstrated knowledge of capacity planning best practices: asset management, use of performance metrics, early and frequent capacity controls, and capacity planning tools.
Familiarity with capacity assessment at the rack, row, and room levels.
Direct experience owning or executing physical audits in support of SOC 2 and SOX compliance requirements.
Experience with equipment EOL planning and decommissioning processes.
Highly detail-oriented with strong spreadsheet analysis skills (e.g., advanced Excel/Google Sheets and AI models for capacity modeling, asset tracking, and reporting).
Strong communication and collaboration experience, with the ability to build trust and influence across cross-functional teams.

Placement within the pay range is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, job level, supervisory status, and location.
