A Mobile, Hands-On Role with Variety of Industries Supported
We’re looking for a versatile, mechanically skilled Mobile Mechanical / Industrial Equipment Technician who enjoys troubleshooting, repairing equipment, and working across a variety of commercial and light industrial environments. This role specifically includes general mechanical, light electrical, light plumbing, as well as service and maintenance of commercial equipment such as air compressors and compressed-air systems, along with commercial equipment and general facility maintenance. You’ll travel between customer locations, diagnose problems, complete repairs and preventive maintenance, and help keep critical building and operational equipment running.
Schedule: Typically, Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm (with occasional on-call responsibilities shared within a team rotation).
Pay: $24 to $29 per hour
WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
Your responsibilities will include a broad mix of equipment and facility systems, including:
Light industrial equipment and mechanical systemsPumps, motors, bearings, fans, belts, and drive componentsCommercial appliances and equipmentBasic electrical, control, relay, motor, and equipment troubleshootingCommercial doors, hardware, and operatorsPlumbing fixtures and minor plumbing repairsGeneral carpentry and building repairsCommercial air compressors, compressor preventive maintenance, including oil, filters, belts, separators, drains, and routine service itemsTroubleshooting compressor operating issues, leaks, pressure problems, excessive temperatures, and abnormal operationCompressed-air dryers, filters, regulators, drains, piping, and related componentsIdentifying air leaks and compressed-air system deficienciesEquipment installation and replacementPreventive maintenance and facility inspections Work on manufacturer-restricted equipment will be performed within the technician's training and qualifications, with specialized service support used when required.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The ideal candidate has experience in commercial maintenance, industrial maintenance, mechanical service, compressor service, or a related field and is comfortable working independently in customer facilities. Direct experience servicing air compressors or compressed-air equipment is strongly preferred. Experience with brands such as Atlas Copco, Ingersoll Rand, Quincy, Sullair, Kaeser, Chicago Pneumatic, or similar commercial compressor equipment is a plus. We're especially interested in technicians who can troubleshoot rather than simply replace parts—people who can assess equipment, identify the likely cause of a problem, determine what can safely be repaired, and communicate when specialized support is required.
