This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a J&J MedTech Butterfly Customer Master Lead based in United States.
This role offers the opportunity to lead critical Customer Master and Business Partner data activities within a large-scale global SAP transformation program.
You will help shape global processes, governance standards, and operating models supporting business go-lives across multiple regions.
The position combines deep SAP expertise with data migration, master data governance, and cross-functional leadership.
You will work closely with business, IT, migration, QA, and regional teams to ensure data is accurate, consistent, and deployment-ready.
The role provides significant ownership across ECC-to-S/4HANA transformation, data quality, and Customer/BP process design.
Success will depend on your ability to translate complex data requirements into practical processes and solutions.
This is a fully remote opportunity suited to an experienced SAP data professional comfortable operating in a complex global environment.
- Global process design: Lead the design of the global Customer Master maintenance process, including the future-state operating model, standards, governance, roles and responsibilities, workflows, controls, and regional requirements.
- Stakeholder collaboration: Partner with business and IT stakeholders to understand data challenges, align requirements, and support Customer Master and Business Partner readiness across the transformation program.
- Data migration and validation: Lead data mapping, analysis, cleansing, harmonization, validation, and reconciliation activities throughout ECC-to-S/4HANA migration cycles.
- Customer/BP expertise: Apply advanced knowledge of SAP ECC Customer Master and S/4HANA Business Partner structures to support data readiness and transformation activities.
- MDG and governance: Contribute to master data governance, data rules, workflows, approvals, validation processes, and documentation to strengthen data quality and operational consistency.
- Defect management: Identify, investigate, track, and coordinate resolution of data defects, performing root-cause analysis and collaborating with cross-functional teams on remediation.
- Integration leadership: Ensure Customer/BP data requirements are aligned across SAP SD, FI-AR, Order-to-Cash, and related enterprise processes.
- Documentation and continuous improvement: Develop process documentation, validation reports, data rules, and governance artifacts while identifying opportunities to improve data quality, migration efficiency, and operational processes.
- SAP experience: 7+ years of hands-on SAP Customer Master and Business Partner experience, with substantial exposure to large-scale transformation or migration programs.
- SAP ECC: Deep understanding of Customer Master General, Company Code, and Sales Area data, including key tables such as KNA1, KNB1, KNVV, KNVP, KNVI, and KNVK.
- S/4HANA Business Partner: Strong knowledge of BP data models, roles, groupings, number ranges, relationships, addresses, tax and identification data, and SD/FI integration.
- CVI: Strong understanding of Customer-Vendor Integration, including Customer-to-BP mapping, synchronization, configuration, and ECC-to-S/4 conversion.
- SAP MDG/MDM: Hands-on experience with data models, change requests, workflows, validations, derivations, approvals, and governance processes.
- SAP integration: Strong knowledge of Customer/BP integration with SD, FI-AR, and Order-to-Cash processes, including pricing, shipping, billing, taxation, and payment terms.
- Configuration and tools: Familiarity with account groups, BP groupings, number ranges, partner functions, customer hierarchies, field configuration, mass-maintenance tools, migration/loading tools, and relevant SAP transactions.
- Data expertise: Strong ability to analyze master data at field and table level, identify dependencies, trace issues across ECC, MDG, and S/4HANA, and determine downstream business impacts.
- Transformation experience: Demonstrated experience with large-scale Customer Master migration, including mapping, cleansing, harmonization, conversion, validation, and reconciliation.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, with relevant professional experience.
- Communication and leadership: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder-management, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to influence teams in a complex global environment.
