About the Role

The Busser supports the front-of-house team by helping maintain clean, organized, stocked, and guest-ready dining areas throughout the shift.

This role is responsible for pre-bussing and clearing tables, resetting dining areas, maintaining beverage and service stations, assisting with food delivery, and supporting servers and other team members in providing an efficient and welcoming full-service dining experience.

Position Qualifications and Requirements
  • No previous restaurant experience required.
  • Strong guest service skills and a passion for hospitality.
  • Friendly, pleasant, and professional manner.
  • Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team.
  • Ability to remain organized and composed in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests, servers, hosts, managers, and other team members.
  • Willingness to assist teammates and respond to changing restaurant needs.
  • Ability to maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance.
  • Weekend and holiday availability is required.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Essential FunctionsSafety and Sanitation
  • Follow company safety, sanitation, and cleaning procedures.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and clear dining and service areas.
  • Promptly address spills, broken glass, wet floors, and other hazards.
  • Handle dishes, glassware, bus tubs, hot plates, and cleaning products safely.
  • Report unsafe conditions, injuries, or damaged equipment to management.

Guest Service and Teamwork

  • Respond to guest requests and communicate service needs to the appropriate team member.
  • Assist servers with food delivery, especially during peak periods and large parties.
  • Communicate with the front-of-house team to support seating, table availability, and efficient service.
  • Thank guests as they leave the restaurant.
  • Complete assigned opening, closing, cleaning, stocking, and trash-removal responsibilities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support restaurant operations.

Table Maintenance and Dining Room Readiness

  • Pre-bus tables by removing dishes and glassware that are no longer in use.
  • Clear tables promptly and transport dishes, glassware, and silverware safely to the dish area.
  • Clean, sanitize, and reset tables according to T’s standards.
  • Maintain clean floors, seating areas, condiments, beverage stations, and service stations.
  • Inspect assigned restrooms regularly and clean or restock them as needed.
What to Expect

This is a hands-on, fast-paced front-of-house role in a full-service breakfast and lunch restaurant. Bussers move continuously throughout the dining room, clear and reset tables, maintain guest and service areas, assist with food delivery, and work closely with servers, hosts, and management.

Hours vary based on team member availability, scheduling needs, and the needs of the restaurant. Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Physical Requirements
  • Stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Perform frequent bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
  • Lift and carry dishes, bus tubs, supplies, and other items weighing up to 30 pounds.
  • Work around wet floors, hot dishes, cleaning products, food, beverages, and restaurant equipment.
