Job Description
The Campbell Clinic Bone Health Program is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join a rapidly expanding, nationally differentiated orthopedic bone health service line focused on osteoporosis management, fragility fracture prevention, and pre-operative bone health optimization.
This APP will work collaboratively with orthopedic surgeons, nurse navigators, and virtual care partners to provide comprehensive longitudinal bone health care to patients at risk for osteoporosis and fracture-related complications.
This is a unique opportunity to help shape one of the country’s most innovative private-practice orthopedic bone health programs integrating fracture liaison services, AI-driven opportunistic imaging and screening pathways, advanced virtual patient engagement platforms, and multidisciplinary preventative musculoskeletal care models.
Beyond clinical care, we are specifically seeking an APP with an interest in education, mentorship, and helping train the next generation of bone health providers. The position will include opportunities to participate in regularly scheduled division educational conferences, clinical teaching initiatives, APP onboarding, and mentorship of APP fellows interested in bone health and preventative orthopedic care.

Essential Functions Statement(s)- Evaluate and manage patients with osteoporosis, osteopenia, fragility fractures, and metabolic bone disease
- Initiate and manage osteoporosis treatment plans including anabolic and antiresorptive therapies
- Interpret DEXA scans, FRAX scores, laboratory evaluations, and opportunistic imaging findings
- Participate in fragility fracture liaison service (FLS) pathways and post-fracture management
- Assist with pre-operative bone health optimization for orthopedic surgery patients
- Provide patient counseling regarding fracture prevention, fall risk reduction, calcium/vitamin D optimization, exercise, and medication adherence
- Perform longitudinal follow-up for injectable therapies including romosozumab and denosumab
- Collaborate with Bone Health Nurse Navigator and virtual care teams to improve compliance and patient engagement
- Utilize standardized EMR templates, workflows, and care pathways to ensure efficient and high-quality care delivery
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, educational conferences, and program development efforts
- Assist in development of educational content, onboarding pathways, and future bone health fellowship initiatives

Education: Physician Assistant: Bachelor’s degree required. Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant educational program recognized by the state committee of Physician Assistants and the Board of Medical Examiners. Successful completion of the examination of the National Board for Certification of Physician Assistants.
Nurse Practitioner: Master’s Degree Required in Nursing. Must hold and maintain a current RN license in Tennessee. Must hold and maintain current National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
Experience: Previous experience in minor medical care and emergency care is required. Orthopedic, endocrinology, rheumatology, geriatrics, primary care, or osteoporosis management experience preferred
Computer Skills: Must be computer literate. Intermediate computer skills are required.
Other Requirements: Interest in Research would be beneficial. Must be willing to market the program.
Certifications & Licenses: Physician Assistant: Must hold and maintain a valid license issued by the National Board for Certification of Physician Assistants
Nurse Practitioner: Must hold and maintain a current RN license in Tennessee. Must hold and maintain current National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
