Job Summary
This Summer Intern role provides administrative and project support across multiple departments, including research, data compilation, document preparation, and maintaining organized digital files using Microsoft Office Suite. The position is ideal for a motivated undergraduate student with strong communication and organizational skills who is eager to learn, collaborate in a team environment, and gain hands-on experience in a professional office setting in Tysons, Virginia.
Due to the nature of our work as a federal consulting organization, employees may be expected to handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and must adhere to applicable safeguarding and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Assist with administrative and project support tasks across various departments.
- Conduct research and compile data for internal reports and presentations.
- Support the preparation of documents, spreadsheets, and presentations using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions.
- Help maintain organized digital files and documentation.
- Collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Take initiative and demonstrate a willingness to learn new assignments.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the team.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Ability to work on-site in Tysons, VA at least four days per week.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Ability to travel occasionally, if required by the position.
- May require viewing and working with a screen for extended periods of time.
Travel Requirements
Travel to client locations is required for this position and may vary based on project needs.
