Job Description
At Fuji Vegetable Oil, Inc., our success is built on the contributions of our people. We want employees who take ownership of their work, value safety and quality, enjoy solving problems, and want an opportunity to build a long-term career.
We manufacture high-quality, food-grade vegetable oils used in premium chocolate, confectionery and other food products. Our operation is safety-driven, quality-focused and highly process-oriented.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator to join our Maintenance team. This is a hands-on role focused on keeping the Storeroom moving: receiving packages and parts, logging them promptly, completing SAP transactions, putting materials in the correct locations, maintaining accurate inventory and helping employees find what they need.
This may be a great fit if you enjoy:
- Creating order and organization in a busy work environment.
- Working with packages, parts, inventory and computer systems.
- Following details from start to finish instead of letting open items sit.
- Helping Maintenance and other teams get the materials they need.
- Taking ownership of your work and continuously improving how things are organized.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Receive incoming packages, maintenance parts, supplies and equipment.
- Verify deliveries against purchase orders, packing slips and receiving documentation.
- Log and receive materials accurately and promptly in SAP and required tracking systems.
- Label and put materials away in the correct shelves, bins, racks or designated locations.
- Maintain organized receiving, staging and Storeroom areas so materials are easy to locate.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts and discrepancy research.
- Help employees locate, issue and return parts and materials.
- Prepare outbound packages, vendor returns, repair/warranty shipments and related documentation.
- Communicate with Maintenance, Purchasing, Warehouse/Distribution, vendors and carriers to resolve material questions.
- Follow Fuji safety, quality, food-safety, housekeeping and material-handling requirements.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Organized and detail-oriented, with strong follow-through.
- Comfortable working with both physical materials and computer-based records.
- Able to prioritize incoming packages and complete receiving/put-away work promptly.
- Dependable, safety-conscious and comfortable taking ownership and initiative.
- Able to communicate effectively with coworkers, vendors and other departments.
- Interested in learning, developing and growing with Fuji.
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to accurately enter data and maintain organized records.
- Ability to match materials to purchase orders, part numbers, quantities and storage locations.
- Ability to work independently while supporting multiple departments in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to meet the physical and schedule requirements of the position.
PREFERRED
- Shipping, receiving, warehouse, Storeroom, inventory or material-handling experience.
- SAP experience or experience with another inventory/ERP system.
- Industrial, manufacturing, maintenance-parts or MRO inventory experience.
- Cycle-counting or inventory-control experience.
- Material-handling equipment experience; bilingual English/Spanish capability is helpful but not required.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
- Packages and materials are received and logged promptly.
- Parts are put away in the right place and can be found when needed.
- SAP and physical inventory stay accurate and current.
- The Storeroom remains clean, organized, safe and audit-ready.
- Open receiving or inventory questions are followed through to resolution.
