Job Title: Aftermarket Customer Service Sales Representative
Location: Louisville, KY
Reports to: Sales Manager / CSS Manager
Position Type: Full-Time

Job Purpose:
As an Aftermarket Customer Service Sales Representative, you will be the key liaison between our company and customers, ensuring their material handling equipment needs are met and exceeded. You will play an integral role in building and maintaining strong customer relationships, driving sales, and supporting our customers with their equipment service needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate New Business: Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities through cold calls, networking, and competitive account research.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Establish, nurture, and expand lasting relationships with existing customers, providing exceptional service and support to meet their equipment needs.
  • Sales & Service Presentations: Effectively present customized sales and service solutions to customers, demonstrating the value of our products and services.
  • Document and Track Interactions: Utilize Salesforce to maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and follow-up actions.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with our diverse product offerings in the material handling sector to better serve customer needs and remain competitive.
  • Customer Visits & Communication: Engage with customers through site visits, phone calls, and emails to address inquiries, resolve issues, and promote our products and services.

  • Excellent Communicator: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for building rapport with customers and delivering effective presentations.
  • Problem-Solver: You excel at identifying customer needs, offering practical solutions, and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
  • Detail-Oriented: You are organized, manage your time efficiently, and pay attention to the finer details that ensure customer satisfaction and success.
  • Industry Knowledge: While a general knowledge of industrial equipment is beneficial, it is not a requirement. An ability and willingness to learn is essential.
  • Team Player: You collaborate effectively with colleagues to meet and exceed sales goals, providing support and sharing insights to drive success.

Educational & Experience Requirements:

  • A degree in business, marketing, communications, project management, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Alternatively, 2 years of experience in industrial sales or a related field will be considered.
  • Mechanical aptitude or prior knowledge of material handling equipment is a plus, but not mandatory.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to navigate office, warehouse, and customer site environments, including occasional stair climbing and light lifting (up to 30 lbs).
  • A personal, reliable vehicle is required for customer visits, with a generous expense reimbursement.
