About This Position
As an Inside Sales & Support Representative at Beaufort, you will play a critical role in growing the business by assisting sales efforts primarily through identifying, contacting, and qualifying new leads, as well as supporting CRM data management. This individual will have significant experience in business development in the life sciences industry and as a power user in Salesforce Sales Cloud with a strong background in commercial operations and CRM management.
This is a contractor position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Support and Lead Generation
- Identify and research new contacts and leads to build a strong sales pipeline.
- Coordinate and schedule sales meeting client calls, and follow-ups.
- Qualify, assign, and track leads through the sales funnel.
- Outbound Marketing Support
- Assist in email campaigns, lead nurturing, and outreach initiatives.
- Monitor and follow up on inbound inquiries and marketing-generated leads.
- Share feedback from potential client communications to help refine marketing messages.
- Salesforce CRM Management
- Maintain and update Salesforce with accurate client and prospect data.
- Develop and manage dashboards and reports to streamline sales activities.
- Provide input into applicable commercial operations workflows and work with stakeholders to implement automation.
- Ensure data integrity and compliance with internal and external regulations.
- Reporting & Analytics
- Generate and analyze sales performance reports and KPIs on a regular basis.
- Identify trends and provide insights to leadership on areas for sales process and effectiveness improvement.
- Conduct research on industry dynamics to better understand market and customer needs to adjust sales approaches as needed.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with marketing, operations, and finance to align sales strategies and processes.
- Ensure seamless handoff of qualified leads and opportunities to business development.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in B2B sales within the life sciences industry (CRO, MedTech, pharma, biotech, or diagnostics).
- Familiarity with sales methodologies and lead nurturing strategies.
- Strong proficiency in Salesforce Sales Cloud (processes, reporting, third-party tools and automation).
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills, with the ability to engage with clients, present solutions, and influence key decision-makers.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a drive to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple clients and priorities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Additional Preferred Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in B2B sales or business development support within the life sciences and/or clinical research industries with a specific emphasis on consulting services
- Salesforce experience and training as evidenced through certification as a Salesforce Certified Sales Representative
- Experience with sales enablement and marketing automation tools.
- Proactive attitude to driving process improvements and desire to implement best practice solutions.
