Connext is seeking a safety-focused and dependable Aerial Lineman to join our telecommunications construction team. In this role, you will play a vital part in the installation, maintenance, and repair of aerial fiber optic and telecommunications infrastructure, ensuring reliable communication services for our customers and communities. This position offers an opportunity to work outdoors in dynamic environments, operate specialized equipment, and contribute to the growth of our infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with installing, maintaining, and repairing aerial fiber optic and telecommunications cable systems.

Install strands, poles, and other infrastructure components necessary for aerial telecommunications networks.

Operate specialized equipment, including bucket trucks, line tensioners, and hand tools, safely and efficiently.

Work at elevated heights while adhering to all safety protocols and industry standards.

Conduct inspections and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal system performance.

Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within scope.

Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and materials used.

Follow safety guidelines and company policies to promote a safe work environment.

Skills and Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or relevant experience preferred.

Previous experience in aerial line work, telecommunications, or related field is a plus.

Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to working at heights and with electrical equipment.

Ability to operate bucket trucks, line tensioners, and other specialized tools safely.

Strong physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
