Warehouse Returns Associate in Rochester, New York at VP Supply Corp

Position Summary

The Warehouse Return Associate is responsible for processing returned materials accurately and efficiently within the warehouse. This role ensures returned products are inspected, documented, properly dispositioned, and routed according to company policies and vendor requirements. The Warehouse Return Associate plays an important role in inventory accuracy, customer satisfaction, and maintaining organized warehouse operations.

The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect returned products for accuracy, condition, and completeness
• Verify return documentation, including return authorizations and packing slips
• Sort and process returns for restock, vendor return, warranty, repair, or disposal
• Accurately enter return transactions into the warehouse management or ERP system
• Coordinate with customer service, warranty, and purchasing teams as needed
• Label, stage, and prepare returned materials for storage, shipment, or vendor pickup
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe return and staging areas
• Identify damaged, obsolete, or non-returnable items and report discrepancies
• Follow all warehouse safety procedures and company policies
• Assist with inventory counts, audits, and general warehouse duties as needed

Qualifications & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1-2 years warehouse, returns, or inventory experience required
• Basic computer skills required and experience with warehouse or inventory systems a plus
• Ability to read and understand return paperwork and product labels
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials up to [50 lbs., adjust as needed]
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment
