About This Position

The Inventory Support Tech is responsible to maintain and monitor the supplies as well as establish appropriate par levels for items in their assigned areas.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists with picking and verifying all daily supply needs in par locations. Packs all materials for safe transport to par areas within 120 minutes. Consistently accomplish tasks under time frame.
  • Restocks assigned locations of all incoming materials daily. Completes paperwork for returned goods and put products away in appropriate par locations within 90 minutes. Consistently accomplish tasks under time frame. Assists with all other deliveries.
  • May be required to fill in for Receiving Coordinator responsibilities including receiving and checking in shipments, delivering to appropriate departments.
  • Help put away re-stock while rotating old stock.
  • Communicates with appropriate Hospital staff about items backorders or substitutes. Communicates any items issues to Inventory Support Specialists and works with them to establish appropriate pars for items in their assigned areas.
  • Assists in taking inventory, filing, answering phones, and routine clerical duties. Records all information.
  • Maintains clean equipment, clean and clutter free work environment. Participates in daily cleaning. Consistently assisting staff with assigned tasks.
  • Conducts morning inventory checks of par areas which includes but is not limited to sorting and organizing bins, ensuring that supplies are in correct bins. Consistently accomplish tasks under time frame.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCE

  • 3-6 months experience with materials handling and/or computer operation.

EDUCATION

  • Proven ability demonstrated by past work experience, computer training preferred, ability to move from one task to another with ease.
  • High School diploma/GED preferred.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

  • NYS driver's license, with safe driving record.

OTHER

  • Read, write English, ability to follow oral and written instructions, use of calculator, math and communication skills, oral and written, proven ability to work as a team member, ability to move easily from one task to another.
