The Role
Verve is seeking an Assistant in our Television Literary department. You'll be working directly on some of the most active TV desks in the business - fielding high-volume calls, managing client materials, and sitting at the center of deal-making and creative development in the television space.
The assistant-to-agent track is streamlined at Verve, and if you're serious about a future in television representation, this is the seat to be in. You'll gain unmatched access to the way deals are structured, staffing season operates, and writer careers are built - all while working alongside agents who operate across business verticals to deliver the best, client-first approach in the industry.
What You'll Do:
- Roll a high volume of calls and manage a fast-moving inbox
- Interface with clients, showrunners, studio and network executives, and producers with professionalism and discretion
- Send, track, and manage client script submissions and materials across broadcast, cable, and streaming platforms
- Provide script coverage and maintain a strong pulse on the television market - pilot season, staffing, and series development
- Coordinate meetings for agents and clients
- Collaborate effectively across all levels of the agency and take initiative on special projects

Requirements:- Minimum 6 months of full-time assistant experience at a talent agency or management company - television experience a strong plus
- Comfortable managing high call volume and thriving in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
- Polished written and verbal communication - client and executive interaction is a daily part of this role
- Absolute discretion with confidential client and deal information
- Outstanding time management, multi-tasking, and follow-through under pressure
- Sound judgment and the ability to make decisions quickly and independently
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft suite, Airtable a plus
- A genuine passion for television - you read scripts and pilots, follow the development landscape, and know who's running what room and who's buying what
This is a full-time, in-person role located in Los Angeles, CA. Employment is contingent upon the candidate's eligibility to work in the United States in accordance with applicable law.
