Are you an experienced healthcare assessor ready to take the next step? Do you have a passion for quality, a talent for developing people, and a drive to make care better every day? If so, the Senior Healthcare Assessor role at Routes Healthcare could be the next step on your journey.

This is a senior role with real responsibility leading quality improvement, mentoring your colleagues, and deputising for the Registered Manager when needed. You'll be an expert practitioner and a role model in the field, championing person-centred care and driving the continuous improvement of quality, safety and compliance across our service.

What were looking for

At least 12 months experience as a Healthcare Assessor, or in a management or leadership role within a domiciliary or community care setting

Experience of supervising, mentoring or line managing others in a care environment

A solid understanding of CQC regulations, the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005 and relevant safeguarding frameworks

Proven experience leading audits, quality reviews and producing clear written reports

Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients, families and multidisciplinary teams

Good computer literacy including Microsoft Office and care management systems

A genuine commitment to person-centred care and continuous improvement

NVQ Level 3 or above in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) desirable

A full valid UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle

Your day-to-day

Leading and line managing the Healthcare Assessor team, including supervisions and appraisals

Deputising for the Registered Manager in their absence

Designing and leading internal audits across care assessments, medication records and visit documentation

Mentoring Healthcare Assessors and supporting their clinical development

Developing care plans and risk assessments for complex packages

Conducting planned and unannounced spot checks in the field

Overseeing safeguarding responses and incident management

Contributing to strategic service improvement and quality initiatives

Managing on-call duties on a rotating basis
