Looking for an opportunity to travel the country while building valuable technical skills?

Force Building Services is hiring Seasonal Field Service Technicians to support installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of conveyor systems, warehouse automation equipment, material handling systems, and industrial machinery at customer sites throughout the United States.

Whether you're an experienced technician or mechanically inclined and eager to learn, this is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals on large-scale industrial and warehouse automation projects.

What You'll Do

As a Seasonal Field Service Technician, you will:

  • Install conveyor systems, warehouse automation equipment, and material handling machinery.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and routine equipment inspections.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot conveyor, labeling, and package handling systems.
  • Commission newly installed equipment and monitor system performance.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and mechanical drawings.
  • Assist with equipment upgrades and system improvements.
  • Complete project assessments and communicate progress with project leadership.
  • Maintain effective communication with customers, subcontractors, and fellow technicians.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while representing Force Building Services professionally.
  • Follow OSHA regulations and all customer-specific safety requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Accurately document work completed and report project status.
  • Travel throughout the United States to support customer projects.
Travel Expectations

This is a 100% travel position.

Technicians typically travel:

  • Approximately 5 consecutive weeks at a time
  • By commercial airline and company or rental vehicle
  • Throughout the United States
  • Based on project schedules and customer demand

Applicants should be comfortable traveling extensively and working in a variety of commercial and industrial environments.

Requirements: Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment.
  • Experience in industrial maintenance, conveyor systems, warehouse automation, electrical, mechanical, construction, manufacturing, or related industries is preferred but not required.
  • Basic customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn new technologies and equipment.
  • Professional appearance and commitment to representing Force Building Services with integrity.
Required Skills
  • Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read or learn electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and OSHA compliance.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, and climb throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly, with heavier lifting performed using proper equipment or team assistance.
  • Ability to work at heights, on ladders, lifts, and in confined spaces.
  • Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments under varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods.
Travel Requirements
  • Ability to travel up to 100% of the time.
  • Ability to travel by commercial airline and vehicle throughout the United States.
  • Ability to work extended shifts, overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays as project schedules require.
  • Willingness to stay overnight for extended travel assignments.
Employment Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment background screening.
  • Ability to legally work in the United States.
  • Ability to comply with customer site access requirements, which may include additional screenings or safety training.
