Responsibilities:

• Perform service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial and industrial HVAC/R and ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Diagnose equipment issues accurately and determine effective repair and preventative maintenance solutions.
• Follow safety procedures, OSHA standards, and established operational protocols at all job sites.
• Work closely with dispatch and field teams to coordinate schedules, service calls, and customer needs.
• Complete service documentation, maintenance reports, and customer forms using mobile service software.
• Conduct routine inspections and diagnostic evaluations on compressors, motors, electrical systems, and refrigeration components.
• Communicate maintenance findings, repair recommendations, and service updates clearly with customers.
• Maintain service vehicles, tools, and inventory to ensure readiness for daily assignments.
• Build strong customer relationships through professional communication, dependable service, and technical expertise.
• Perform preventative maintenance and identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and performance.
• Handle customer concerns professionally while maintaining a high level of service quality and safety.
• Support team collaboration by assisting and training fellow technicians when needed.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience servicing, maintaining, and troubleshooting ammonia refrigeration systems or equivalent trade school/apprenticeship training.
• Experience with commercial or industrial HVAC/R systems, refrigeration equipment, or electrical/mechanical systems preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
• Mechanically inclined with hands-on technical aptitude and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, technical drawings, and equipment diagrams.
• Familiarity with hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and refrigeration maintenance practices.
• RETA Certification required
• EPA HVAC/R certification preferred.
• HVAC/R, Refrigeration, or Technical certification preferred.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Valid drivers license required.
• Ability to pass background screening and drug testing requirements.
• Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, reliability, teamwork, and continuous learning.
