Job Summary
Friday Staffing is seeking a skilled Industrial Electrical Technician for a full-time opportunity in Hendersonville, NC. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and production equipment in a high-performance metals manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has experience with industrial electrical systems, PLCs, automation, and preventative maintenance and is committed to maintaining safe and efficient operations.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical issues on production equipment and facility systems.
- Maintain and service PLC-controlled equipment, motor controls, VFDs, drives, and industrial automation systems.
- Install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, panels, sensors, and control systems.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.
- Conduct routine inspections while ensuring compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and company safety standards.
- Work closely with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to resolve equipment issues.
- Accurately document maintenance activities, repairs, and work orders.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical certification, trade school, or apprenticeship preferred.
- Previous experience as an Industrial Electrician or Industrial Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of PLC systems, motor controls, VFDs, sensors, and industrial automation.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems independently and read electrical schematics.
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs and equipment reliability practices.
- Familiarity with high-voltage electrical systems and industrial safety standards.
- Strong mechanical aptitude is a plus.
- Ability to stand, climb, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to work overtime or flexible hours as needed.
Work Environment
- Industrial metals manufacturing facility.
- Exposure to heat, noise, and heavy machinery.
- Physically active position requiring standing, walking, climbing, and lifting throughout the shift.
