Job Description
Safe Industries in specializes in heavy-duty trucks, buses, and emergency vehicle repair and fabrication. We are looking for a skilled and experienced Welder/Fabricator Technician to join our team. If you have a passion for precision, attention to detail, and thrive in a collaborative yet independent work environment, we want to hear from you.
Key Qualifications:
Mechanical Knowledge: Strong understanding of mechanical systems, welding codes, and standards.
Blueprint Reading: Proficient in interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings.
Welding Expertise: Skilled in MIG, TIG, or stick welding with a solid understanding of weld symbols and tolerances.
Math Skills: Proficient in using calipers, tape measures, and other measuring tools for accuracy.
Machine Operation: Experience operating press brakes, roll formers, and shears.
Forklift Operation: Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
Safety Awareness: Knowledge of operating safety equipment and adherence to safety protocols.
Physical Ability: Capable of lifting heavy parts, using cranes or hoists, and performing hands-on assembly tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze blueprints and specifications to plan and execute layout, assembly, and welding tasks.
Use measuring tools to ensure precise dimensions and maintain accuracy throughout the fabrication process.
Assemble, position, align, and weld components in flat or vertical positions using appropriate tools and equipment.
Operate hand and power tools, including MIG/TIG welders, torches, plasma cutters, and cranes.
Maintain safety standards and demonstrate good work habits consistently.
