SUMMARY

We are seeking a meticulous and dependable individual to fill the position as a day porter. The day porter will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment within our clinic facilities and office buildings on a daily basis. This position plays a crucial role in upholding our standards of cleanliness and contributes to the overall patient experience. This employee must have a positive attitude and excellent customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following functions:

• Cleaning of common areas, waiting rooms, patient rooms, offices, bathrooms, etc.
• Performs routine cleaning tasks such as dusting, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and sanitizing all areas.
• Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper disposal of medical waste and recyclables.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning and restroom supplies as needed.
• Clean and sanitize equipment as needed according to established protocols.
• Disinfecting high-touch surfaces such as door handles, countertops, and light switches.
• Adhere to infection control policies and procedures to ensure a safe and clean workspace.
• Follow proper procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous materials.
• Notify management of any maintenance issues or repairs needed.
• Works to enhance provider efficiency and assists in resolving clinic-related issues.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, stoop, lift, and reach during the course of a shift.
• Travels to other sites as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Must have a compassionate spirit, high school education or equivalent.

Previous experience in cleaning, janitorial services, or housekeeping preferred.

Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Must be able to pass a background check.

One year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Ability to define and solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variable, occasionally in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.

Reliable and punctual with excellent time management skills.

Reliable transportation is a must.
