Job Description

Le Meridien St Louis Clayton is hiring for a Front Desk Agent!

You should join our team if you believe...

  • The Front Desk is more than a place to check in — it is the heart of the guest experience.
  • Every guest deserves to feel genuinely welcomed, valued, and cared for.
  • Great hospitality means anticipating needs, listening carefully, and finding solutions.
  • The little details matter, from a smooth arrival to a thoughtful recommendation or a sincere goodbye.
  • Strong communication and teamwork are essential to creating an exceptional hotel experience.
  • Every interaction is an opportunity to create an UNMATCHED MOMENT.

You’re a great fit for this role if you love...

  • Welcoming guests with warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality.
  • Completing guest check-ins and check-outs accurately and efficiently.
  • Assisting guests with reservations, room assignments, billing questions, directions, and hotel information.
  • Learning and sharing knowledge about the hotel, local area, dining, attractions, and experiences.
  • Responding to guest questions, requests, and concerns with patience, professionalism, and a service-first mindset.
  • Listening to guests and taking ownership of opportunities to resolve concerns whenever possible.
  • Communicating guest needs and important information clearly with Housekeeping, Maintenance, Food & Beverage, leadership, and other departments.
  • Monitoring room availability and working closely with Housekeeping to support timely room readiness.
  • Handling cash, credit card transactions, guest accounts, and other financial responsibilities accurately and according to established procedures.
  • Protecting guest privacy and handling guest information, keys, and personal belongings with care and discretion.
  • Answering phones, responding to messages, and assisting guests and callers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Staying organized and composed while managing multiple guests, requests, and priorities during busy periods.
  • Looking for opportunities to personalize the guest experience and create moments guests will remember.

We’re excited to have you join us because...

  • You understand that the first and last impression of a hotel often begins and ends at the Front Desk.
  • You genuinely enjoy helping people and making them feel welcome.
  • You can balance efficiency with genuine, personal service.
  • You remain calm, professional, and solution-focused when things do not go according to plan.
  • You have strong communication skills and are comfortable interacting with guests from a variety of backgrounds.
  • You are confident asking questions, listening carefully, and finding solutions.
  • You take ownership rather than simply passing a problem along.
  • You work well with other departments and understand that great guest experiences require a great team.
  • You are dependable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • You understand that hospitality is about more than completing a transaction — it is about making people feel cared for.

  • Ability to resolve guest concerns professionally and appropriately escalate issues when necessary.
