About the Role

Star Sleep & Wellness is growing, and we are seeking a Compliance Manager to support our legal and compliance functions. The Compliance Manager will play a key role in implementing, administering, and continuously monitoring compliance activities across all entities and locations. This individual will work closely with the General Counsel and cross-functional teams to promote adherence to regulatory requirements, identify and mitigate potential risks, and support corrective action initiatives.

Remote or hybrid work arrangements will be considered for qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation, administration, and ongoing maintenance of the organization's compliance program, including coordination of Compliance Committee activities, documentation, and follow-up on action items.
  • Conduct routine internal audits and monitoring activities related to billing, coding, clinical documentation, HIPAA, and operational compliance to identify and mitigate potential compliance risks.
  • Support responses to external payer, regulatory, and accreditation audits by gathering documentation, tracking requests, and coordinating internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain compliance policies and procedures, coordinate periodic reviews and updates, and track policy distribution and acknowledgment across the organization.
  • Assist with the administration of compliance training and education programs, including monitoring completion rates and maintaining training records.
  • Collaborate with Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), clinical, operational, and administrative teams to implement corrective actions and process improvements identified through audits, investigations, or compliance reviews.
  • Maintain compliance calendars, audit logs, monitoring plans, regulatory reporting schedules, and other compliance-related documentation.
  • Manage and maintain the organization's compliance reporting mechanisms, including the anonymous compliance hotline.
  • Assist with compliance investigations, fact gathering, documentation, and corrective action tracking under the direction of the General Counsel.
  • Coordinate accreditation activities, including AASM accreditation maintenance, readiness for site visits and surveys, and follow-up on accreditation-related findings.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and assist in communicating compliance requirements and operational guidance to clinical and administrative teams.
  • Promote a culture of compliance, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in healthcare compliance, auditing, revenue cycle, credentialing, and/or regulatory affairs; multi-site provider setting strongly preferred
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Law, or a related field preferred. Candidates with significant healthcare compliance, auditing, regulatory, revenue cycle, or healthcare operations experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Working knowledge of healthcare compliance principles, HIPAA, payer audit processes, and healthcare regulatory requirements.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with billing and coding audits, compliance program software, and payer portals
  • Communication: Ability to communicate healthcare compliance requirements and operational guidance effectively to clinical and administrative teams.

About you…

Regardless of position in the organization, these are the core values we look for:

  • Value Reputation: Our name is everything! Every small action matters, so we expect you to be mindful of the big picture in everything you say or do. You’ll be an ambassador for the practice’s reputation.
  • Adaptable to Change: We’re always evolving and forward-thinking. You approach challenges with a positive attitude, are open to learning, and are willing to break old habits to improve.
  • Driven and Goal-Oriented: You are motivated by purpose, remain focused on personal and team goals, and thrive on achieving success, both individually and collectively.
  • Do Whatever It Takes: You go the extra mile to support your team and make it happen for our patients. We value collaboration and the willingness to “do whatever it takes.”
  • Do What You Say You understand that trust is built on consistency. You honor your commitments and always follow through, even when it’s challenging.

Does This Sound Like You?

We value character over experience. If you have a strong desire to make a positive impact on our patients’ lives and are excited to grow with us, we want to hear from you! The most important quality we seek is a passion for providing exceptional patient experiences.

If you’re ready to contribute to a team that’s changing lives, apply today! We can’t wait to meet you.

Please Note: This is a remote position. Applicants must reside Florida, North Carolina, or Texas.
