Currency Exchange International is looking for a skilled and motivated Payments Processing Specialist I to join our Payments Team! This is a full-time onsite position based in Orlando, Florida.


Summary: The Payment Processing Specialist I will be responsible for completing the payment process in a timely and accurate manner. The Specialist will provide excellent customer service with a high level of integrity and accountability. The purpose of this position is to optimize daily payment activities and to assist with the best performance of the payments department and the organization.


Essential Functions:

  • Modify wire instructions in the CEIFX Repair Queue to sanitize client payment instructions.
  • Create and route templates to process domestic and international wire payments using a FxO.
  • Review and approve payments within CEIFX.
  • Triage tickets sent to the department and escalate appropriately and timely.
  • Process domestic and international wire payments using online Banking Platforms.
  • Assist customers with the cancellation of wires.
  • Communicate via e-mail and/or phone with clients in low complex situations regarding wire payments.
  • Work with compliance team to identify and escalate AML and KYC issues.
  • Work closely with finance and treasury departments to reconcile payments and identify discrepancies.
  • Meet departmental standards for processing time and accuracy.
  • Consistently comply with all company guidelines and policies.
  • Confirm counterparty trades using an online platform, verbally or in writing.
  • Use FxAll platform to confirm and or net settle counterparty trades.
  • Communicate with internal teams and other members of the department to investigate delayed or failed payments.
  • Consistently comply with all company guidelines and policies.
  • Can work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, mathematics, economics or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
  2. Familiarity with SWIFT, bank online platforms, and or the Foreign Exchange industry is preferred but not mandatory.
