Registered Veterinary Technician, Emergency in Concord, California at Ethos Veterinary Health

Up to $40.00/hour (DOE) + $5.50/hour Shift Differential (6:00 PM–6:00 AM)

Schedule: Thursday–Saturday | Three 12-hour shifts

As an Emergency Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), you'll provide advanced nursing care for emergency patients while working alongside experienced emergency clinicians and specialists in a collaborative, fast-paced environment dedicated to exceptional patient outcomes.

At SAGE Concord, part of Ethos Veterinary Health, you'll join the largest Specialty & Emergency Veterinary Hospital in the East Bay. Since opening our state-of-the-art hospital in 2022, we've expanded advanced Emergency & Critical Care, Surgery, Neurology, Oncology, Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Integrative Medicine, Ophthalmology, and other specialty services.

You'll gain hands-on experience with advanced technology and complex cases while working alongside a highly skilled team that values mentorship, collaboration, and continuous professional growth.

• Deliver exceptional nursing care for emergency patients throughout their hospital stay.
• Triage incoming emergency cases and support clients during urgent and emotionally challenging situations.
• Partner with veterinarians to perform patient assessments, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures.
• Collect and process laboratory samples and assist with advanced diagnostic imaging.
• Induce, monitor, and recover patients undergoing anesthesia and sedation.
• Monitor hospitalized patients and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
• Maintain accurate medical records and communicate patient updates with the medical team.
• Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams.
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture.

• Current California Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license.
• Minimum of two years of emergency or clinical veterinary experience.
• Strong technical skills including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, drug calculations, and patient handling.
• Excellent communication, client service, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced emergency environment.
