Position Summary
During night shift schedule (7:00 PM-7:00 AM), attend registration desk; responsible for obtaining and verifying all necessary demographic, clinical, and financial information from patients. Responsible for entering all information into computer system to create accurate patient financial and medical record.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Register hospital outpatient (emergency room, outpatient lab, x-ray) and inpatient admissions.
- Enter patients into the electronic health system, including necessary demographic and billing information with timeliness and accuracy.
- Perform eligibility verification processes in an efficient and timely manner.
- Serves as liaison with clinical departments, patients and families regarding admission and registration processes.
- Prepare information and print registration documents for appropriate departments.
- Print Medical Records labels for in house patients and face sheets for all patients.
- Primary backup for the switchboard/information desk.
- General office duties as required.
- Adheres to Compliance, Safety, and HIPPA policies of the facility.
Cross Training:
- Work will be assigned in other areas on a temporary basis if needed.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned.

- Maintain composure and professionalism under pressure with patients, families, and staff

Experience & Education:
- High school education or equivalent
- Prior experience preferred.
- Accuracy is a must.
- On the job training is provided.
- Certification: CPR required
- Computer Skills: Basic skills
Pay: starting at $19.00 per hour. This equals hourly rate + night shift differential rate
Schedule: 12 hour night shifts + every other weekend
