Cyber Operations, Department of Cybersecurity - Adjunct Faculty

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Cyber Operations, Department of Cybersecurity - Adjunct Faculty based in Canada.

This part-time remote teaching opportunity is designed for cybersecurity professionals passionate about sharing their expertise with the next generation of cyber specialists.
You will guide students through advanced topics in cyber operations, malware analysis, reverse engineering, and cybersecurity practices.
The role combines industry knowledge, academic instruction, and hands-on learning to help students develop practical skills.
You will create engaging online learning experiences while supporting students in applying cybersecurity concepts to real-world scenarios.
This position is ideal for experienced professionals who want to contribute to higher education while maintaining flexibility.
You will play a key role in preparing learners for successful careers in the rapidly evolving cybersecurity field.

Accountabilities:
  • Teach online cybersecurity courses focused on cyber operations, including foundations of cyberspace operations, reverse engineering and malware analysis, and cyber operations capstone projects.
  • Deliver engaging, interactive instruction that encourages student participation, collaboration, and successful learning outcomes.
  • Apply industry expertise to help students understand cybersecurity frameworks, threat detection, vulnerability management, network security, and operational defense strategies.
  • Guide students through hands-on activities involving cybersecurity tools, malware analysis techniques, security assessments, and cyber operations methodologies.
  • Provide timely, constructive feedback on student assignments, projects, and assessments using established evaluation criteria.
  • Support students in connecting academic concepts with practical cybersecurity applications and professional environments.
  • Maintain current subject matter expertise and contribute insights to improve course content and curriculum development.
  • Communicate regularly with academic teams regarding student progress, learning improvements, and course effectiveness.
Requirements:
  • Master’s degree in Cyber Operations, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Professional experience in Cyber Operations, cybersecurity, information security, or related technical fields.
  • Previous experience teaching adult learners, online courses, or higher education programs is strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, including threat analysis, network security, vulnerability assessment, malware analysis, reverse engineering, and security operations.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to diverse learners.
  • Experience with cybersecurity tools, frameworks, and industry practices used in modern cyber environments.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to engage students through collaborative, project-based, and practical learning approaches.
