Position Summary:
Pullman Market is looking for Sanitation Team members. As a vital member of our sanitation team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and safety within our facility. Your attention to detail and commitment to following sanitation protocols will contribute to creating a clean and healthy environment for both employees and customers. We are looking for a dedicated individual who takes pride in their work and understands the importance of sanitation in a professional setting.
Operational Responsibilities:
- Execute daily sanitation tasks, including cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, equipment, and common areas.
- Ensure all sanitation activities and safety standards align with established protocols and guidelines.
- Properly dispose of waste and recyclables according to company policies and local regulations.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness in waste disposal areas.
- Assist in monitoring and restocking sanitation supplies.
- Report any shortages or equipment malfunctions promptly to the Sanitation Manager.
- Perform routine maintenance on cleaning equipment and report any issues or repairs needed to the Sanitation Manager.
- Collaborate with the sanitation team to meet daily and weekly cleanliness goals.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and report any concerns or incidents promptly.
- Participate in training sessions to stay informed about updated sanitation protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of daily sanitation activities and report any deviations or incidents to the Sanitation Manager.
- Assist in preparing for and participating in regular inspections.
Personal Requirements:
- Be an ambassador for the company and maintain professionalism in and outside of work.
- Prior experience in a sanitation or cleaning role is preferred but not necessary.
- Learn and follow established sanitation protocols.
- Punctuality and a strong work ethic are essential for this role.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules.
- Ability to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and following safety guidelines.
- Effective collaborator with strong teamwork and communication across departments.
- Exceptional attention to detail to ensure thorough and consistent sanitation practices.
Working Conditions:
- A typical work week for this position is 40-45 hours. Hours vary based on the needs of the market and the department.
- Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting objects up to 45 pounds, and repetitive hand and wrist movements.
- Exposure to hot, cold, and potentially hazardous equipment is possible.
- Familiarity with office equipment such as phones, computers, fax machines, and copiers may be required.
