This is a hands-on field service opportunity supporting advanced lighting and control systems across commercial and industrial environments.
You will travel to customer sites to perform system startups, diagnostics, programming, troubleshooting, repairs, and technical training.
The role combines electrical and mechanical expertise with direct customer interaction and problem-solving in dynamic field conditions.
You will serve as a technical resource for customers and internal teams, helping resolve complex issues and maintain reliable system performance.
Your field experience will also contribute to continuous product and process improvements by identifying recurring challenges and sharing insights with Engineering and Manufacturing teams.

- Perform frequent on-site service visits in accordance with established policies, procedures, safety requirements, and customer expectations.
- Conduct system startups, commissioning, diagnostics, troubleshooting, programming, and repairs for advanced lighting and control systems.
- Provide responsive technical support to both external customers and internal teams, serving as a subject-matter expert during technical escalations.
- Manage service-related project timelines while coordinating with customers and cross-functional teams to deliver effective solutions.
- Own customer solutions from diagnosis through resolution, helping strengthen customer satisfaction, confidence, and long-term loyalty.
- Prepare accurate and detailed field service reports documenting site activities, findings, repairs, and recommendations.
- Deliver on-site training to customers covering system operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and best practices.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production teams to identify product improvements, process efficiencies, and opportunities to address recurring field issues.
- Participate in lean initiatives and continuous improvement activities across production and service operations.
- Safely operate hand and power tools and work effectively in indoor and outdoor environments, including locations with challenging conditions.
- Travel frequently, including overnight trips, and maintain flexibility to accommodate customer schedules and service requirements.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; a degree in electrical engineering or a related technical discipline is preferred.
- At least 2 years of hands-on field service experience involving both electrical and mechanical responsibilities.
- Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and commissioning switchgear, transformers, motor control centers (MCCs), or variable-frequency-drive (VFD) systems.
- Strong experience working in industrial or commercial power distribution environments, with a solid understanding of electrical systems, control technologies, and schematic interpretation.
- Experience with high-voltage or medium-voltage systems, such as 277/480V three-phase power, is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows operating systems and the ability to learn specialized technical systems and tools.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to customers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently in the field while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, organizational, and customer-service skills.
- Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 75 pounds and safely work at heights of up to 100 feet using ladders or lift equipment.
- Comfortable standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and performing physically demanding activities for extended periods.
- Valid U.S. driver's license and passport required.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively, up to 85%, including overnight stays, with flexible working hours based on customer requirements.
- Spanish/English bilingual proficiency is a plus, particularly for international customer support.
