Room Attendant in Somerton, Arizona at Cocopah Casino & Resort/Event Center

SUMMARY

The attendant is responsible for ensuring our standards of cleanliness are met in assigned guest rooms. Ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

• Keep the work cart orderly and properly stocked at all times.
• Inspect room linens before placing them in rooms and return substandard linens to Housekeeping.
• Proper utilization of equipment and supplies.
• Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest bathrooms.
• Daily changing of soiled linen on beds, remaking beds following the Hotel standards and standards of the Green Program.
• Thoroughly clean rooms, balconies, and room furnishings, to include dusting picture frames.
• Constant awareness of safety hazards (i.e., broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, and broken locks). Follow all training procedures outlined in the Bloodborne Pathogens program.
• Always abide by our lost and found procedures. No articles should ever be removed or moved from occupied rooms. Show absolute respect for guests; property at all times.
• Report to work on time and according to the posted schedule. Maintain accurate time records.
• Remain alert, courteous, and helpful the guests and co-workers at all times.
• Advise the supervisor and front desk clerk of rooms ready for occupancy.
• Inventory stock to ensure adequate supplies.
• Responsible care of all equipment. Identify and report any needs for repairs or replacement of equipment.
• Obtain a list of vacant rooms that need to be cleaned immediately, and observe the list of prospective check-outs to prepare work assignments.
• Pull/push full or empty laundry tubs.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be flexible with schedules.
• Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time.
• Must be able to work with cleaning chemicals and equipment, including carpet/floor care.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• Associate's degree in a related field, or trade school, technical college, or equivalent
• 3-year work experience in the related field
