Supervisory: No

Team: Manufacturing

Reports to: Production Supervisor

Hours: Monday – Thursday, 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM

    Responsibilities

    Assist in providing directions to team membersAssist in coordinating tasks to assure maximum productivity, align labor needs, and set priorities to meet production & customer demandAssist in interviews and selection to support staffing plansAssist in onboarding and training of new employees in job tasks and general skills to Ag Leader quality standardsField team member questions and problem solve as issues ariseFollow quality control, Kanban and 5s proceduresInspect finished product for acceptable quality and errors, identify non-conforming material and log appropriately. Determine cause of non-conforming materialIdentify product test failures, assign DMRs where neededParticipate in team discussions, especially in regard to department goals, productivity and areas of improvementEfficiently keep the department supplied with orders and jobs to meet demand, schedule on-demand when necessaryComplete minor repairs on-demand within the departmentCommunicate to supervisor and engineering any equipment or machinery in need of repairsHelp maintain accurate training records which support our QMS and ISO 9001 certificationFollow proper procedures for using Epicor, Machine Down, Gold Standard, Order Tracker, Production Loader and Job ManagerMaintain accurate copies of work instructions for departmentAssist with new product introductions, be the first point of contact for feedback on what it will look like from an operator’s perspective, forecast issues and identify efficiencies Communicate, cross-train and problem solve with other departments/shiftsWhere applicable, perform annual re-certification training for all operatorsEnsure shift/department has CPR first-aid certified personnelArm the building at the end of the shift

    Qualifications and Skills

    Must be 18 years of age or olderHigh School diploma or equivalentPrevious knowledge of Ag Leader production process is desiredBasic computer knowledge and ability to utilize computers to perform daily tasksProven ability to handle work environment pressure(s) Attention to detail and strong organizational skillsCapable of communicating appropriately and effectively, specifically while leading a team and providing directionFlexibility to stay late as necessaryMust be able to sit/stand for up to 8 hours with scheduled breaksAbility to lift 25 pounds; greater than 25 pounds with team assistAbility to work 40 hours/week plus overtime as needed
