Summary

The Spa Therapist provides professional massage, body, and wellness treatments tailored to each guest's individual needs and preferences. This role is responsible for creating a welcoming, relaxing experience while delivering exceptional customer service.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Part Time position - perfect for those seeking meaningful work without a full-time commitment Performing different types of massages, beauty treatments, and wellness therapies.
  • Maintaining detailed records of massages, treatments, and therapies performed on each spa guest.
  • Communicating with guests during massages to adjust massage techniques as required.
  • Resolving guest complaints and reporting any accidents to the supervisor.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing work areas, changing treatment room sheets, and sterilizing all instruments and equipment before each use.
  • Explaining massages, treatments, and therapies to guests and providing suitable recommendations as needed.
  • Ensuring that the spa is adequately stocked with spa supplies and reporting shortages to the supervisor.
  • Inquiring about guests' medical conditions and allergies before providing spa services.
  • Assists in the promotion of the health and wellness benefits to clients receiving massage therapy on a regular basis.
  • Communicates various promotions to clients.
  • Assists in the cleanliness of the location (therapy rooms and common areas).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 500 hours of massage therapy school and a certificate of completion
  • Adherence to all applicable local and state licensing laws and regulations related to the massage therapy services provided, including following any applicable law pertaining to maintaining current Massage License
  • Knowledge of and experience in performing Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage required, as well as knowledge of and experience in performing other modalities
  • Understands and believes in the healing benefits of massage therapy and bodywork
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Patience and respect.

Compensation: This position is compensated with a flat hourly rate plus commission on services and gratuities. Total earnings vary based on productivity, retail sales, and guest gratuities.

Pay is based upon several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your annual salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, and 401k contributions (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
