Job Description

Critical Care Nocturnist — Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA)

7-on / 7-off, 7pm – 7am

Southeastern Indiana Respiratory & Critical Care, a proud member of the Columbus Regional Health Physicians network, is seeking a highly skilled, confident, and autonomous Critical Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to lead in the Critical Care Unit during the night shift. If you love deep clinical critical thinking, a collaborative environment and practicing at the absolute top of your license, this is your ideal role.

Join our elite night team at SE Indiana Respiratory & Critical Care. We are seeking a skilled Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) for a high-autonomy, solo overnight ICU management role. In this position, you will own 100% of nocturnal procedures and lead rapid response teams while enjoying the security of immediate phone support from an on-call physician. This role offers a 7-on/7-off schedule with a highly competitive compensation and benefits package.

Key Highlights & Responsibilities

  • Work-Life Balance: Enjoy a predictable 7-on / 7-off schedule working 12-hour shifts.
  • Unmatched Autonomy: Serve as the sole overnight clinical leader managing ICU patients independently.
  • Procedure-Rich Environment: Perform critical procedures including intubations, central lines, A-lines, and thoracentesis.
  • Emergency Leadership: Lead the hospital's rapid response and code teams during the night shift.
  • Collaborative Culture: Work alongside a close-knit, experienced team of ICU RN's and Respiratory Therapists.

Requirements

  • Education & Licensure: Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program with current Indiana licensure (or eligibility). ACNP certification is preferred.
  • Clinical Experience: Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in an ICU, critical care, cardiology, or high-acuity inpatient setting.
  • Technical Skills: Fully proficient in independent procedural skills and advanced ventilator management.
