Fremont Animal Care Center is seeking a reliable and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our mixed animal practice. This role involves working with both small and large animals, assisting veterinarians in delivering high-quality medical care, and supporting daily clinic operations.

What You'll Be Doing:
Every day is different, but you can expect to:
- Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures
- Monitor anesthesia and patient recovery
- Perform laboratory testing and diagnostics
- Assist in taking radiographs (X-rays)
- Administer medications
- Handle and restrain both large and small animals safely
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Client communication and education
- Assist with emergency and critical care cases
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinic and equipment

Requirements:Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience as a veterinary technician preferred, but not required (certification a plus)
- High school diploma
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to hazards associated with aggressive patients; hazards associated with infected animals and controlled substances; exposure to unpleasant odors and noises; exposure to bites, scratches and animal wastes; possible exposure to contagious diseases.
- Will be exposed to potentially hazardous or unpleasant materials, including: blood, urine, feces, and vomit (at least 50% of the time); anesthetic gases (25% of the time); cleaning materials (90% of the time); medical sharps (90% of the time); radiographic exposure (25% of the time), exposure to therapy laser (10-15% of the time), and zoonotic diseases (less than 10% of the time)
