POSITION SUMMARY
The Construction Safety Specialist supports the Safety Manager by maintaining a consistent safety presence across all job sites. This role enhances regulatory readiness, ensures safety standardization, and strengthens company safety culture. The Install Safety Specialist conducts audits, facilitates live safety training, responds to incidents, and provides proactive field support to maintain full compliance with company safety and OSHA requirements. This position requires confidentiality, discretion, and frequent field travel. Must be bilingual English/Spanish.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct regular job site visits to verify PPE use, identify hazards, and ensure compliance with company and OSHA standards. Document findings consistently across all sites.
- Lead or audit weekly toolbox talks. Maintain accurate participation records and ensure key safety topics are reinforced regularly.
- Respond immediately to workplace incidents or near misses. Collect documentation, photos, and witness accounts, and assist with root cause analysis.
- Monitor, inspect, and distribute safety equipment. Ensure gear is functional and available at all times.
- Maintain current versions of fall protection worksheet, heat stress training logs, Injury and near miss reports, and orientation materials. Ensure all regulatory documentation is accessible and audit ready.
- Act as the on-site point of contact during DOSH, OSHA, or other regulatory inspections. Prepare requested materials and escort inspectors.
- Develop and implement a standardized approach to safety documentation, including jobsite walkthrough logs, and hazard assessments.
- Deliver live safety instruction and hands-on guidance during field operations. Reinforce policies through interactive coaching.
- Serve as a liaison between field teams and leadership—reporting field conditions, equipment needs, and safety concerns.
- Build rapport with crews by being a visible, approachable, and supportive presence. Encourage reporting of near misses and create trust in the safety process.
- Represent the company’s commitment to safety to general contractors, clients, and safety platforms.
- Perform other related duties as required to meet ongoing business needs or additional duties may be assigned to the employee’s growth and development.

- High School Diploma or GED; college coursework in safety or construction management preferred.
- 2+ years of safety-related or construction related field experience.
- OSHA 30 or equivalent safety certification preferred and will be required within first 60 days.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
- Valid driver’s license, insurance and reliable transportation to travel between job sites.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, DOSH, and local safety regulations.
- High attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Effective communicator with ability to build field relationships.
- Independent and proactive problem-solver.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Comfortable working in varying field conditions.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.

- Walking, climbing, and inspecting job sites in all weather over uneven terrain.
- Lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Using hands to handle tools or safety gear.
- Driving to various job locations throughout the week.
