Job Description
We’re looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and strategically minded Marketing Specialist to join the growing marketing team at Marshall Scientific.
This is a hands-on role designed for someone who can take ownership of key marketing initiatives, vendor relationships, e-commerce growth strategies, and digital content development within a fast paced, team-driven environment.
This position will play a critical role in expanding Marshall Scientific’s online presence and strengthening relationships with both customers and manufacturers.
Responsibilities include managing e‑commerce content, supporting product and vendor marketing, creating digital assets, and developing promotional campaigns that advance Marshall Scientific’s growth as a leading laboratory equipment distributor and seven‑time INC 5000 honoree. Core focus areas span website management, vendor collaboration, promotional strategy, customer experience optimization, and initiatives that drive sales across both refurbished and brand‑new product lines.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Website & Product Content
- Add and manage refurbished and brand-new laboratory equipment product listings across company websites while overseeing and quality-checking AI-generated content
- Utilize modern content tools to accelerate content generation while ensuring all published materials meet company quality, branding, and technical standards
- Create compelling product descriptions, marketing copy, specification tables, banners, promotional graphics, landing pages, and other digital assets that improve customer engagement and support informed purchasing decisions
- Support ongoing website optimization projects including page creation, updates, enhancements utilizing basic HTML, and continuous evaluation of website usability, accessibility, conversion rates, and overall e-commerce functionality
Vendor & Manufacturer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with existing and prospective laboratory equipment manufacturers to support continued growth of new equipment sales
- Collaborate directly with vendors on marketing materials, promotional campaigns, strategic initiatives, onboarding efforts, product trainings, presentations, and introductory meetings with internal sales teams
- Serve as a liaison between manufacturers and internal teams when elevated issues arise, helping drive timely and effective resolutions related to products, orders, or customer concerns
- Attend trade shows, networking events, vendor meetings, and promotional events to strengthen industry relationships and identify new business opportunities
Marketing Strategy & Promotional Development
- Build and manage promotional campaigns across the company website and marketing channels, including newsletters, featured product campaigns, vendor-focused promotions, and other engaging marketing content designed to support sales initiatives
- Analyze sales trends, customer behavior, product category performance, pricing trends, and market opportunities to help guide marketing and vendor strategies while recommending actions to improve overall performance
- Prepare vendor reporting and sales analysis including quarterly reviews, yearly business reviews, and other requested reporting initiatives
- Contribute to conducting market research and competitive analysis, including monitoring competitor pricing through price tracking software to ensure competitive positioning and identify market opportunities
E-Commerce Growth & Innovation
- Help develop and implement new e-commerce initiatives, tools, and website features that expand sales capabilities and improve overall customer experience
- Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams on projects related to website functionality, merchandising strategy, digital marketing execution, and long-term business growth
- Stay current on industry trends, digital marketing practices, e-commerce technologies, and AI-driven workflow tools to help improve internal processes and marketing effectiveness
Monday - Friday, 9 am to 5 pm
