This is a strategic finance role supporting global Communications, Marketing, and other functional teams.
You will act as a trusted Finance Business Partner, translating financial data into actionable business insights.
The role combines budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, reporting, and long-term planning.
You will work closely with senior leaders and program owners to improve resource allocation and financial decision-making.
Your analysis will help guide investments across global campaigns, communications, events, and organizational initiatives.

- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning for Communications and other supported functions, ensuring financial plans align with strategic and organizational priorities.
- Develop and maintain financial models that identify trends, risks, opportunities, and potential scenarios to support informed decision-making.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including variance analysis, KPIs, and insights that help stakeholders understand performance and plan next steps.
- Translate complex financial information into clear recommendations and communicate findings effectively to senior executives, managers, and non-finance stakeholders.
- Serve as a trusted finance partner to cross-functional leaders, supporting planning cycles and helping teams make effective resource allocation decisions.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial planning, reporting, tracking, and operational processes, and lead initiatives that increase efficiency and transparency.
- Provide financial analysis and business cases for strategic, cross-functional initiatives, including fundraising campaigns, community programs, events, and new organizational approaches.
- Build strong relationships across a globally distributed organization and contribute to a collaborative, data-driven finance culture.
- Operate effectively across multiple time zones while maintaining clear communication, accountability, and reliable delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of professional experience in financial analysis, financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, with the ability to contribute to strategic decisions rather than simply produce reports.
- Strong hands-on proficiency with Excel and/or Google Sheets, along with experience using modern financial modeling and data visualization tools.
- Demonstrated ability to build financial models, analyze complex datasets, identify meaningful trends, and turn findings into practical recommendations.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly to senior leaders and non-finance stakeholders.
- Strong analytical thinking, business judgment, curiosity, and attention to detail.
- Experience working independently in remote, multicultural, and geographically distributed teams.
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across functional areas.
- Experience working in a nonprofit, mission-driven, or globally distributed organization is an advantage.
- Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning is a plus.
- Background in global nonprofit finance, grant management, international financial operations, or similar environments is desirable.
- A genuine interest in open knowledge, mission-driven organizations, or globally impactful initiatives is an advantage.
