Senior Financial Analyst, Commercial Finance

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst, Commercial Finance based in the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to influence strategic business decisions through advanced financial analysis, modeling, and commercial insights.
You will partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate opportunities, optimize pricing strategies, and improve profitability outcomes.
Working closely with commercial, operations, finance, and leadership stakeholders, you will transform complex data into actionable recommendations.

Accountabilities:

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will support commercial strategy by developing financial models, analyzing business performance, and providing insights that guide pricing, profitability, and growth initiatives. You will collaborate with stakeholders across multiple functions and geographies to improve decision-making and enhance financial performance.

  • Develop financial models and pricing analyses for new business opportunities, renewals, and commercial initiatives to evaluate profitability and financial impact.
  • Partner with Commercial, Operations, Finance, Legal, and other teams to understand business drivers, client requirements, and operational considerations.
  • Analyze revenue, service, and client performance data to identify risks, opportunities, and recommendations for improving margins and growth.
  • Support pricing strategy through scenario modeling, benchmarking, forecasting, and financial evaluations.
  • Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytics to monitor pricing performance, profitability initiatives, and key commercial metrics.
  • Track commercial initiatives from approval through implementation, measuring realized financial outcomes and business impact.
  • Provide leadership teams with actionable insights based on financial and operational trends.
  • Improve commercial finance processes, reporting capabilities, and analytical tools to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support system improvements, reporting enhancements, and strategic projects as needed.
  • Build strong relationships with global stakeholders and contribute to cross-functional collaboration.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a highly analytical finance professional with strong modeling skills, commercial understanding, and the ability to communicate complex insights clearly to business stakeholders.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Data Analytics, or another quantitative discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in Commercial Finance, Pricing, FP&A, Corporate Strategy, Revenue Management, Business Analytics, Consulting, or a related field.
  • Proven experience supporting pricing decisions, profitability analysis, financial modeling, or commercial decision-making.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities with the ability to translate data into business recommendations.
  • Solid understanding of pricing strategies, profitability drivers, revenue management, and cost structures.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex information and identify actionable solutions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong collaboration skills and experience working with cross-functional and global teams.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with experience using reporting, planning, or business intelligence tools.
  • Experience with enterprise analytics and reporting platforms is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with a proactive, results-oriented mindset.
