This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a GIS Solutions Consultant based in United States.
This role offers the opportunity to deliver practical, high-impact geospatial solutions directly to clients across a range of real-world use cases.
You will combine enterprise GIS administration, geoprocessing, automation, and technical troubleshooting to solve complex client challenges.
The position requires strong expertise across the Esri ecosystem, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, and enterprise geodatabases.
You will also use Python, ArcPy, JavaScript, and SQL Server to develop efficient workflows and support reliable GIS operations.
A key part of the role is translating technical concepts into clear, actionable guidance for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Provide client-facing GIS consulting and support, delivering live geospatial solutions that address operational and technical requirements.
- Administer enterprise GIS databases and support critical database processes, including traditional and branch versioning, views, replicas, reconcile/post operations, and compression.
- Manage and support SQL Server environments using tools such as SQL Server Management Studio and SQL Server Agent, including database automation.
- Design, develop, and optimize geoprocessing workflows to improve efficiency, accuracy, and repeatability.
- Develop scripts and automation solutions using Python, ArcPy, and JavaScript to support GIS operations and client requirements.
- Configure, administer, and support ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise environments, including licensing and administration activities.
- Support ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Server deployments, including Map Services and Feature Services.
- Troubleshoot complex GIS, database, application, and workflow issues and provide practical solutions.
- Translate complex GIS and technical concepts into clear guidance for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Support local government organizations in their use of GIS technologies and help align solutions with operational needs.
- Train and mentor users or colleagues, sharing best practices and helping stakeholders build confidence with GIS tools.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by researching new technologies, identifying opportunities for automation, and recommending effective geospatial solutions.
- Manage multiple client needs and priorities while maintaining strong organization, responsiveness, and quality of service.
- 5+ years of relevant GIS, geospatial technology, or consulting experience.
- Strong experience administering Esri enterprise databases, including traditional and branch versioning, views, replicas, reconcile/post processes, and database compression.
- Strong SQL Server experience, including proficiency with SQL Server Management Studio, SQL Server Agent, and database automation.
- Extensive knowledge of geoprocessing concepts and workflows.
- Hands-on scripting experience with Python, ArcPy, and JavaScript.
- Extensive experience using ArcGIS Pro.
- Experience administering and managing ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise licensing and environments.
- Experience supporting GIS implementations and technology adoption within local government organizations.
- Strong technical troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Collaborative approach with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Curiosity and a demonstrated willingness to learn new technologies and continuously develop technical expertise.
- Experience training or mentoring others and supporting knowledge transfer.
- Experience with Attribute Rules and Arcade within ArcGIS Pro is preferred.
- Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Server, including Map and Feature Services, is preferred.
- Experience customizing or developing ArcGIS Pro add-ins is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Next Generation 911 (NG911) is a plus.
- Experience working effectively in a remote environment is preferred.
- Esri certifications, such as ArcGIS Pro Professional or ArcGIS Pro Associate, are advantageous.
