This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Coastal Resilience Specialist based in the United States.
The Coastal Resilience Specialist will support strategic initiatives focused on coastal resilience, environmental programs, and cross-organizational collaboration. This role works closely with senior leadership, technical experts, government stakeholders, academic partners, and external organizations to keep complex programs moving forward. You will coordinate strategic activities, meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagements while ensuring priorities, deliverables, and deadlines remain on track. The position combines program coordination, executive communications, project management, and stakeholder engagement in a mission-driven environment. You will translate technical and scientific information into clear presentations, reports, briefings, and communications for diverse audiences. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, adaptable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting. - Support the planning, coordination, execution, and tracking of strategic initiatives involving multiple organizations, teams, and stakeholders.
- Coordinate meetings, workshops, conferences, webinars, and stakeholder events, including scheduling, logistics, agendas, participant communications, speakers, and supporting materials.
- Prepare executive briefings, presentations, talking points, reports, technical summaries, and other materials for senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Present at conferences and participate in webinars and other public-facing engagements with government officials, academic partners, stakeholders, and the broader community.
- Facilitate meetings and events involving internal teams, external partners, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders.
- Draft, edit, and coordinate internal communications, technical documentation, executive correspondence, and program materials.
- Track assignments, deadlines, action items, and follow-ups across multiple concurrent projects while maintaining accurate documentation.
- Attend coordination meetings, capture key decisions and notes, monitor action items, and communicate progress to project leadership.
- Coordinate reviews and feedback across technical teams, leadership, and partner organizations to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Assist with annual planning, progress reporting, technical documentation, briefing packages, and other strategic program deliverables.
- Support stakeholder engagement by coordinating communications, gathering input, organizing feedback, and documenting outcomes.
- Help respond to executive requests, leadership inquiries, and other high-priority assignments.
- Maintain organized project files, trackers, version-controlled documents, and collaborative workspaces.
- Contribute to continuous improvements in program coordination, communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement processes.
- Master’s degree in environmental science, public administration, communications, project management, marine science, or a related discipline.
- At least 2 years of professional experience supporting projects, programs, strategic initiatives, or executive leadership.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create polished reports, presentations, meeting materials, and executive correspondence.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to identify challenges, recommend solutions, and improve program processes.
- Demonstrated ability to independently coordinate projects from planning through implementation while maintaining alignment among multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to synthesize complex technical or scientific information into concise, accessible briefings and communications for executive and non-technical audiences.
- Experience supporting federal agencies, consulting organizations, government programs, or other complex organizational environments is preferred.
- Experience with strategic planning, organizational planning, long-range program planning, or related initiatives is advantageous.
- Experience managing document development processes, including scoping, drafting, review, version control, publication, communications rollout, and leadership clearance.
- Experience designing, coordinating, and facilitating meetings, workshops, conferences, or stakeholder engagement activities.
- Familiarity with project management platforms, action trackers, collaborative workspaces, and document management systems.
- Interest or experience in coastal resilience, environmental programs, natural resources, climate-related initiatives, or emergency management is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment where priorities evolve and new initiatives emerge.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical experts, executives, government stakeholders, and external partners.
- Salary range of $70,000–$96,000 USD annually, with compensation based on relevant experience, qualifications, and location.
