Business Intelligence Manager, Product Analytics

The Business Intelligence Manager, Product Analytics will play a key role in shaping how product teams measure success, understand user behavior, and make data-driven decisions.
This role combines business intelligence expertise, analytical thinking, and strategic partnership to establish measurement frameworks that guide product evolution.
You will define reporting strategies, build scalable analytics solutions, and translate complex data into actionable insights for cross-functional stakeholders.
Working closely with product, operations, and technical teams, you will help create a strong foundation for understanding product health and customer engagement.

Accountabilities:

The Business Intelligence Manager, Product Analytics will own the development of analytics strategies, reporting solutions, and measurement frameworks that enable better product decisions. The role requires strong collaboration across business and technical teams, with responsibility for transforming complex questions into clear insights and scalable BI solutions.

  • Lead the design, development, and optimization of business intelligence dashboards, reports, and analytical tools that provide visibility into key performance indicators and operational trends.
  • Define product measurement strategies by identifying success metrics, adoption indicators, customer engagement signals, and performance benchmarks.
  • Translate stakeholder needs into analytical requirements, data definitions, reporting specifications, and actionable insights.
  • Build and maintain semantic layers, data models, and queries that support self-service analytics and reliable reporting across teams.
  • Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, performance drivers, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Partner with product, operations, finance, engineering, and business stakeholders to support data-informed decision-making.
  • Monitor BI asset quality, investigate data inconsistencies, and collaborate with technical teams to improve data reliability.
  • Establish and promote BI best practices, including reusable reporting frameworks, standardized metrics, and scalable analytics processes.
  • Provide guidance and training to business users on dashboard interpretation, self-service analytics tools, and effective use of insights.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in business intelligence, product analytics, and data visualization, combined with the ability to communicate complex findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, product analytics, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience designing and maintaining dashboards, reports, and data models that support cross-functional teams.
  • Strong experience with modern BI and data visualization tools.
  • Proficiency in SQL or comparable querying languages, with experience working across structured datasets and multiple data sources.
  • Experience defining metrics, measurement frameworks, and success indicators for products, platforms, or business operations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify patterns, investigate issues, and translate findings into recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decisions through data-driven storytelling.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and operate effectively in a distributed remote environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy, consistency, and quality.
  • Experience working with technology, product, marketplace, or operations-focused teams is preferred.
