Service Parts Estimator in Raleigh, North Carolina at Tri South Mechanical LLC

The service parts estimator will work with parts vendors on sourcing parts, sending quotes to our customers and ordering parts once the quotes are approved. They will also be responsible for tracking parts; parts returns and warranty filing for the service department.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain vendor relationships to quote service part replacements.
• Work with vendors to source the parts with the quickest turnaround time.
• Verify what the vendors are quoting is accurate based off the information provided by the technician.
• Mark up the materials, work with any subcontractors needed for the scope of work to get pricing, type the quote in our software system and send the quote(s) to the customers for approval.
• Once quotes are approved, work with the vendors on placing the orders and providing PO’s, Tracking the parts and communicating with dispatch if the ETA changes for any reason.

Receiving Parts

• The parts estimator will work with the warehouse team to check in parts from deliveries, verify the PO and part information is correct, email the PO’s to the servicing receiving team so everyone is aware that parts have been delivered and communicate with dispatch when a job is ready to be scheduled.

Part Returns

• Email vendors to verify parts can be returned for credit, this will happen if we receive the incorrect parts or if a part that was quoted is not needed. Once the vendor confirms the part can be returned, they will get all paperwork needed to the warehouse to return the part for credit.

Warranty Filing

• Once the warranty parts are replaced, Dispatch will let the parts estimator know and they will need to work with the vendor where the parts came from with all the information to file the warranty credit.
• Once the vendor confirms the warranty will be processed the parts estimator will get all the needed paperwork to the warehouse team so they can return the parts to the vendor.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, vendors, and Tri South Mechanical’s team members.
• Reinforce all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, training programs, and cultural values.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with OSHA regulations.
• Support and promote Tri South Mechanical’s Culture, Mission, and Core Values.
• Other duties as assigned.
